Community Transport Fund
North Yorkshire County Council is now accepting applications from Community Transport operators to help fund their projects. £415,987 has been made available to North Yorkshire County Council from the Department for Transport to ‘help invest in the future to provide more sustainable transport for local communities’.
There are no hard and fast rules on what will be funded, however successful applications will be ones that most fulfil the council’s objectives and priorities set out in its Local Transport Plan 2011 – 2016 and more specifically Appendix 4 of the plan.
Community Transport Operators wishing to apply for funding can do so by completing an expression of interest form in the first instance supplying a brief summary the proposal with initial costings.
